Where Gold Meets Silver Beneath the Virunga Volcanoes
About Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Uganda's smallest national park protects the Ugandan slopes of three dramatic extinct Virunga volcanoes: Mount Muhavura, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabyinyo. It is the only park in Uganda where endangered mountain gorillas coexist with vibrant endangered golden monkeys in the high-altitude bamboo zones.
